Virtual Animal AdoptionAlthough we at the Oakland Pet Adoption Center think every animal is special, there are always a few that just need some extra TLC.

We are pleased to offer a new opportunity for concerned citizens that may not be able to own a pet, but would still like to help a needy pet.   

This page lists dogs, cats and other species that are currently up for adoption but may have special needs, medical issues or are very hard to place in a home.

With virtual adoption you can sponsor an animal and ensure that they are provided with the help they need to be 100% adoptable.  You will receive monthly updates about your sponsored animal and be informed when they are finally placed in a loving forever home.

Story: Eli- (248720) Eli is very sweet and lovable but needs extra attention due to the fact that he is a fence jumper and loves to run if given the chance. Eli is very shy when he 1st meets people but after a few minutes quickly becomes loving and playful with them.

Story: Patty-(244265) Patty is a sweet cat, but she is used to being in a home with no other pets so when she gets adopted out it will have to be a home without any other pets in it. She is very lovable and can usually be seen lying in the window soaking up the sunshine.

Story: Willy is a 4 year old lab mix that came to us as a stray. Willy was very timid of people at first but through interaction with the staff here is quickly warming to people and turning out to be a very loving and affectionate dog. Ref # 29336
